We want to ensure you have a really good night’s sleep when you stay with us. From the comfy beds, and crisp linen to the deep baths, aromatic toiletries and fluffy towels…our bedrooms have been designed with no-one else but you in mind.

So, after a gentle lakeside stroll, a more ambitious bike ride or a day exploring what the Lake District has to offer, you can head back to the sanctuary of your room and have a soothing hot bath. Some of our rooms have enviable lake views so what better place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink as you watch the evening sun set over the spectacular Lake District landscape.  

After your slumber, you’ll probably find it hard to tear yourself away from your bed to come down for breakfast…but as our guests keep telling us, it’s definitely worth the effort! Though, we don’t mind bringing breakfast up to you if you feel like being pampered.

Dogs

At Merewood we are a dog friendly hotel. Your dog is welcome in any of our bedrooms and lounges, excluding the dining room for health and safety reasons, which we are sure you will understand.

If you do wish for your dog to join you on your stay with us, we ask that you bring all of their own bedding and blankets to help them feel at home.

We kindly ask you to refrain from allowing your dog on any of the hotel bedding, as unfortunately you will be charged £40.00, which will cover the cost of the necessary cleaning.
