New Year at Briery Wood
Celebrate New Year in the Lake District with a fabulous break at Briery Wood.
Our special New Year break is guaranteed to bring sparkle into your festive season. Cocktails, fabulous food, a cruise on Lake Windermere and, of course, bringing in the New Year with Auld Lang Syne – we’ve got it all covered.
Our two night New Year package is just £425 per person for a standard room, £449 per person for a garden room and £475 per person for a family room.

Saturday 30th December
Check in from 3pm before joining us in the Garden Lounge for a welcome pot of tea with homemade scones. At 7:30pm head to the Benson Bar for a welcome drink before enjoying a sumptuous four-course dinner including tea and coffee.
New Year's Eve
Start the final day of 2023 with a full English breakfast, served between 8am-10am. Then at 11am, you'll set sail on Lake Windermere, where you'll be able to take in the sensational scenery of the Lake District. To take away the chill, we'll provide mulled wine and mince pies. On your return to the hotel Chef will prepare a light bite lunch. You are then free to spend the afternoon relaxing before getting into your glad rags ready to celebrate New Year in style.
For guests on the 2-night package, you'll arrive and check-in from 3pm and be greeted with tea and homemade scones.
Our evening will begin at 7pm with pink fizz, followed by a six-course gourmet dinner. After dinner, dance the year away to the tunes from our resident DJ. We'll toast midnight with Auld Lang Syne, more fizz and dancing into the wee small hours.
New Year's Day
Briery Wood's New Year's Day breakfast is served 9am-11am. You'll have the rest of the morning to explore (or rest your sore heads!) before tucking into our Beatrix Potter inspired cakes and tea from 2pm.
We'll meet back at Benson's Bar for a cocktail reception at 7pm, followed by a four-course evening dinner and 'Night at the Casino' from 9pm.
Tuesday 2nd January
Spend your final morning with a hearty breakfast from 8am-10am. From here, we'll wish you a Happy New Year and hope that you will visit us again soon in 2024.
