Use of in-house water bottles for guests allowing us to reduce our glass bottle wastage and carbon footprint
Good maintenance i.e. mending leaking taps
Use of all local Lake District produce including our own herds of sheep and cattle
Development of our own vegetable and herb gardens
Using our estates own wood for our fires in the winter
Replanting trees and plants for guests and wildlife
Restaurant guests are welcome to take home any leftovers, therefore reducing waste
Commitment to rolling out EV charging points across our hotels
Commitment to fixing solar panels to buildings where possible to generate own energy
Implementing live webcams to showcase our wildlife and farming
Creating a virtual and digital garden tour at Cragwood Country House to showcase our gardens and grounds and allowing guests and visitors to learn what we are growing and protecting
