At Briery Wood, you’ll find all the warmth and comfort of a true home from home, nestled amongst enchanting winter woodland. From delicious festive dining to cosy moments by the fire, every detail is taken care of, so you can simply unwind, spend time with the people who matter most and savour the magic of Christmas.

Our three night Christmas package (Thursday 24th December until Sunday 27th December 2026) is just £699* per person for a standard room, £749* per person for a Garden room and £775* per person for a family room.

*Price is per person based upon two guests sharing a room. A supplement of £350 applies for single occupancy.

Here’s what to expect from our holiday schedule, designed to help you make the most of every festive moment:

Christmas Eve

Arrive from 3pm and check into one of our elegant rooms. Then head downstairs to relax and enjoy a nice cup of tea with some homemade scones.

At 7pm meet in the Benson Bar for entertainment and a welcome drink followed by a delicious three-course set menu dinner and canapes.

After dinner enjoy a game of bingo before heading to bed to get a good night’s sleep before the big day ahead.

Christmas Day

Your festive break in the Lake District continues in comfort and joy, beginning Christmas Day with a leisurely continental breakfast in bed. Then spend a relaxed morning with your loved ones unwrapping your presents.

At 12 noon we’ll gather for a glass of pink fizz and picture quiz before indulging in a five-course Christmas lunch with all the traditional trimmings. Dining at Briery Wood is guided by beautifully flavoursome dishes using local and seasonal produce.

You’ll also have the chance to guess the weight of the Christmas Cake to win a prize.

Chef will prepare a delicious buffet for 7pm before we finish the day with Briery Wood’s annual quiz – hosted by our very own quizmaster with the winner receiving a prize.

Boxing Day

Breakfast will be served between 8am – 10am after which you will have the morning to relax at your leisure.

A light lunch buffet will be served from 1pm.

Guests will be treated to a scenic lake cruise, with a festive afternoon tea takeaway box complete with mince pies, and a miniature bottle of Baileys.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy wherever your mood takes you. Then, we’ll meet back at Benson’s Bar at 6pm for a welcome drink before tucking into a sumptuous three-course dinner at 7:30pm. After this join us for a cocktail making masterclass.

Sunday 27th December

A hearty full English breakfast will be served between 8am – 10am before check out at 11am.
