Our couple’s only wedding packages in the UK are designed for those who want to enjoy an intimate wedding celebration in a fabulous location, with wonderful service and amazing food – just for two.
Our two-night couple's only wedding package includes
- Two nights accommodation
- Cream tea on arrival
- Bottle of Prosecco, chocolates and our exclusive Merewood Teddy Bear in room upon arrival
- Dinner in The Grill on the night prior to the wedding
- Breakfast in bed both mornings
- Civil wedding ceremony in one of our Just Us ceremony rooms and two witnesses, if required
- Afternoon tea after the ceremony
- Tickets for a cruise on Lake Windermere
- Pre-dinner drinks
- Intimate candlelit dinner in Arboreal
- Late 12 noon check-out

Looking for a little more than a couple’s only wedding?
Our couple’s only wedding packages are perfect for an intimate celebration for two, but if you’d like to share the day with a few loved ones, we can welcome up to 15 people – including the couple and any children – with our Just Us package.
For a slightly larger gathering, our “Just a Few of Us” micro-wedding package is ideal for couples seeking a relaxed, personal experience with up to 30 guests – including the couple and any children. It’s a beautifully intimate way to celebrate on a smaller, more meaningful scale. In addition, if you’re looking for a vow renewal, our ‘Just Us’ package can be a great choice for those looking to reaffirm their promises in privacy and style.
'Just a Few of Us' Ceremony Costs
Day guests:
Price includes ceremony, reception drink, afternoon tea, lake cruise, pre-dinner drink and the wedding dinner.
Accommodation:
- One night stay includes: bed & breakfast in a classic room, plus the day guest package
- Two-night stay includes: bed & breakfast in a classic room, cream tea on arrival, dinner with the wedding couple the night before, plus the day guest package

Surrounded by breathtaking views and timeless natural beauty, Merewood offers the perfect setting for an intimate couple only wedding.
Wedding Bookings T&C's
Just Us and Just a Few of Us wedding packages are available to book Sunday – Thursday throughout the year, subject to hotel availability.
If you’re looking for a UK vow renewal package, take a look at our ‘Just Us’ package.
Please note the package does not include the cost of the registrar. The booking procedure for a civil ceremony at Merewood Country House Hotel is as follows:
- Check Merewood has availability on your preferred date
- If available, we can provisionally hold this date for up to 14 days
- Check the registrar has the same availability, at a time which suits the hotel and yourselves
- Book the registrar and get in touch with your wedding coordinator to confirm
- We would then require a £300 non-refundable deposit to secure the wedding booking
- We also require you to sign and return a copy of our wedding bookings terms and conditions
