Frequently Asked Questions

What should I consider when planning a dog-friendly wedding?

When thinking about a dog-friendly wedding, it can be helpful to consider factors such as your dog’s temperament, access to outdoor space, supervision during the day, and our venue policies. Thinking about these details in advance can help ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience for both you and your four-legged companion.

Yes, our dog-friendly wedding venues offer accommodation where dogs can stay alongside their owners, allowing couples and guests to fully immerse themselves in the occasion without leaving their pet behind.

Absolutely. Dog-friendly elopements and micro weddings in the Lake District allow couples to plan an intimate celebration surrounded by idyllic surroundings while including their four-legged companion in the experience.

Many couples choose to include a special accessory such as a floral collar, bow tie, bandana, or lead that complements the wedding theme. However, comfort should always come first, ensuring your dog feels relaxed and happy throughout the celebrations.

Having a trusted friend, family member, or professional pet chaperone can help ensure your dog is comfortable and cared for throughout the day. This allows you to make the most of every moment while knowing your companion has everything they need. We can recommend suppliers if needed.

We love welcoming well-behaved dogs and are delighted that they’re part of your wedding. We simply ask that owners take full responsibility for your dog throughout your visit. In the unfortunate event that your dog causes any damage to the room, furnishings, or hotel property, the cost of repairs or replacement will be charged to you. In addition, if the room cannot be occupied by incoming guests due to damage, excessive soiling, or the need for specialist cleaning, you may also be liable for any loss of revenue and any costs incurred in relocating affected guests to alternative accommodation. We also ask that you don’t leave your dog in your room on their own at any stage and that we do take consideration of any barking which might affect other guests (if applicable). We love dogs and love welcoming them to our hotel but we also understand that not everyone shares the same view.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our hotel enjoyable for all guests—both two-legged and four-legged.
